Le comptoir du Relais

While shoping with my daughter I thought of having a lunch or snack at Le comptoir. Big was my surprise when more than ten man where queuing to get a small table. So I decided to skip it. But I did look on the internet and gourmet guides and quess what I found.

"You're virtually guaranteed to be cramped in classic style at Le Comptoir, a Left Bank bistro in the Carrefour de l'Odéon. Yves Camdeborde was never a three-star chef, but he ran La Régalade, awildly popular bistro, so it's not a surprise that his new operation is now the toughest reservation in town. Unless you get lucky or are willing to sit on the sidewalk in chilly weather, you need to make a reservation far ahead.
On Monday through Friday, at dinner, Mr. Camdeborde serves a 45-euro prix fixe menu with virtually no choices that is  consistently wonderful." NY times 2006.

Now almost all the tourist guides en food guides recommend the place

Le comptoir du Relais, 9, Carrefour de l'Odeon (Relais St. Germain Hotel), 75006 Paris, tel.  01 44 27 07 97, M° Odéon
