Business à table

In Paris make sure you choose the "in" place. Even in the country of gastronomy, the long drawn-out luncheon is fast becoming a much lighter affair.

The aperitif, the good bottle of wine and the digestif are things of the past. The question is no longer: "Bordeaux of Bourgueil ?" but "sparkling of still water ?". Or at the most a glass of wine and one only!

This change is reflected in the growing success of the quick lunch formulas offered by large hotel chains.

You'd nevertheless do well to pay attention to Parisian rumours about an up-and-coming chef and the doorman who will take care of your car.

The Parisian fifteen minutes (or "normal delay") is still tolerated, especially for women.
