Robert Frank made associations and dialogues between photographie, poetry, literature and paintings. Doing so he made his own language of subjectivity mixef with a heritage of documentary photografy.
One of the highlights of his abundant production of photographs and films is a legendary book of photographs, The Americans (published in France 1958)
