Kissing in the " City of Love "
The Lovewall on Place Jehan Rictus ( metro Abesses ) is covered with blue stones on which is written "I love you" in more than 300 languages, go and seek yours. From there on it's a small stroll to Montmartre. Go early in the morning to see the sunrise over Paris, a unique experience: the Sacré Coeur is covered in a mysterieus pink light. Maybe you prefer a morning gym going up the stairs on foot (if this is not your style, take the funiculaire) and take one of the charming cobbled stone streets. Rue du Mont Cenis is nice with beautiful frontages. On number 13 there is a galery, in the past is was The Cabaret of Patachou where Georges Brassens started and Edith Piaf ended their careers. Charming Rue Azais has a lot of lovepigeons hiding in the trees. Of corse there is Place du Tertre where artists paint and draw. Overlooking the place while sipping on a nice cup of coffee at Brasserie Au Clairon des Chasseurs is great. Don't miss the oldest church of Paris Saint-Pierre where you enter through a heavy black door. If wine is what you're in to, they still have a vine in Montmartre "Le Clos". Every year first weekend of Octobre it's a big event celebrating the new wine.
