Free entry to five major museums in and around Paris until 30 June 2008

The government's idea is to open up cultural spaces to people who wouldn't normally be able to pay the entrance fee. A survey conducted during the trial period will measure the success of the scheme. If the response is positive, the system may be extended to a large number of other sites.

14 museums and national monuments will open their doors to visitors free of charge, with the exception of temporary exhibitions. Five museums in the Paris region are involved :

Musée de Cluny-Musée National du Moyen Age / Musée Guimet / Musée d' Archéologie Nationale de Saint-Germain-en-Laye / Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace du Bourget / Musée National de la Renaissance d'Ecouen

At Musée de Cluny and Musée Guimet you just need to go along, for the others I don't know but I think it's the same policy.
