Museum Exhibition(ism) by Karen Knorr

Animals and naked women engage in a dialogue in curious compositions, set against a background of sumptuous panelling and Old Master paintings.

Karen Knorr wanted to play around with the idea of fables in which humans and gods take on animal forms, as a way of exploring men and their behaviour. The scene with the swan in the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature evokes the famous fable of Leda and the swan.
