We (my husband an me) had 3 wonderfull days in Paris. The romantic studio we rent was very comfortable and made us feel the Parisian lifestyle.
Wihtin walking distance there are many restaurants, the one we loved most was L'ADRESSE, 42, rue Rochechouart - 75009 Paris.
The food there is a mixture of French and Italian and it tastes really wonderfull - and - the prices are reasonable.
We can highly recommend these Studio Lofts and look forward to our next stay.

A great place to stay to see the sights of Montmartre. Well located for the Gare du Nord and various Metro lines for sightseeing further afield too. Recommend visiting the local market at Place d'Anvers on Friday afternoon/evening and wandering around the excellent shops/restaurants at rue des Martyrs.

Fantastic intro to renting in Paris...took all the anxiety of going it alone, away! My wife and I tied up a month touring France with a week at the Romantic Loft in Montmartre. What a lovely, sleek apartment this is! Polished wood, deck platform with adjustable bed, great electronics...very cool and welcoming after a day taking in the sights. Reminiscent of a large sailboat interior, cobalt blue tile and glass in the compact bathroom. Modern and impeccably clean kitchen area. A must see, at a great value!

I would say the Feng Shui is the perfect weekend getaway apartment, but is perhaps a bit too quirky for longer stays.

The neighbourhood is certainly not very fancy, but has some wonderful down to earth places, which we enjoyed, and is close enough to popular places like Sacre Couer, Pigalle, etc that you can still find a crowd pretty quickly. In the neighbourhood, you must stop in at Ferme Saint Hubert, the fromagerie down Rue du Rouchechouart. Bakeries abound, Le Pave Sucre on the way to and from Gare du Nord and Rue Des Martyrs for just about everything else you could want.

Our best meal in the neighbourhood was Cafe Panique. I highly recommend the lunch special! http://www.cafepanique.com/

If you're interested in chocolate, and macarons, you will find some of the bet in Paris at Maison Arnaud Larher, which is within walking distance of the apartment (if you like to walk). The macarons were at least as good as Pierre Hermé (which we tried too), and some were probably better! http://www.arnaud-larher.com/

We have decent restaurant french, but pretty much everywhere, except for the grumpy waiters at the brasserie cafes, everyone was quite happy to speak English, or humour our poor French.

Enjoy!

This apartment fits Paris perfectly. In this romantic city, you couldn't find any stay which would be more suitable! Thanks to the metro station on our doorstep, we were able to reach all the famous draws within a few minutes. After a long day of sightseeing, the huge bathtub enabled us to relax while we were watching a movie! The surround system and great collection of DVD's made our evenings very cosy. We are really looking forward to stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay very much in the Romantic apartment and would reccomend to my closest friends and family!

The Romantic apartment is wonderful - great
location, great size, and very comfortable!

Location - I loved the location in the Montmartre. Great area to walk around and explore. If you enjoy walking - it is also not too far from the main attractions in Paris. The metro stop is just around the corner also.

Apartment - The Apartment is very nicely decorated, comfortable, and spacious! If you are staying for a while and want to get out of the hustle and bustle, they also have plenty of books and dvds to enjoy. All of the appliances and utencils needed are available for your use. Not to mention that the refrigerator is stocked with items you may need when you arrive so that you do not have to stob by the market right away.

Rental Process - Mme Esteves, the cleaning lady, was very friendly and helpful. (Helpful hint here - be prepared if your French is rusty... prepare your questions beforehand by writing them down!) The rental process was also very simple and Ilse was very helpful.

I loved renting the apartment and will definitely stay here again when in Paris.

We stayed a the Feng-shui loft from October 29-31, 09. The loft was very clean and the space was used efficiently. It was quiet and close to many nearby attractions. We used the L'Open tour and were able to take the bus at the top of the street so that was conveinent.

We would love to come stay again.

Thank you

For anyone considering a stay at the Luxury Loft, i can't say enough good things about our stay. My partner and I stayed only two nights in the Loft this past August. And from the emails before our arrival, our reception by the caretaker Faye till the time we left, we LOVED this place.

When making arrangements to stay, we received first class help with all of our questions and concerns. Restaurants and local hangouts were even suggested.
When we arrived Faye was warm, welcoming and full of helpful suggestions and assured us that she would be available if we should ever need her. She gave us a tour of the apartment explaining all of the HIGH END details of the Loft. WoW what a sound system, LOVED THE BATH TUB!!!! And every morning I enjoyed perfect coffee from the gourmet built-in cafe/espresso machine.
The apartment and neighborhood was safe, clean and quiet. Locals were much more friendly than tourist locations.
My next visit to Paris will include a much longer stay at this fabulous Loft.
Take full advantage of the incredible lighting system and the glass wall that crystalized for privacy at the touch of a button. Very Cool.

Thanks again!
Bryan & Troy

 "Glorious Parisien Haven"
This was my husband's first visit to Paris & I wanted to find somewhere extra special to stay; this apartment certainly fitted the bill. He has already expressed how much he wants to return to Paris & we will definitely stay in Feng Shui again. The apartment is very cleverly designed & doors close to hide the kitchen units, storage space & shelves making the very best use of the space. The espresso maker was fabulous & we used to visit the fantastic boulangerie on the corner every morning before our daily jaunts. The kitchen was well equipped but unfortunately we probably only made good use of the bottle opener as we tended to eat out. We had several excellent meals locally, Rue de Martyrs & Abessesses were really vibrant every night of the week. The jacuzzi was amazing, only had 2 as the weather was so hot when we visited, but the light settings were lovely & it was very romantic! The ipod dock was a great touch, we both had our ipods & the Bang & Olufsen sound system was excellent. The flat looked out onto a small courtyard & was really quiet, my favourite times spent in the flat were sitting on the fabulous beanchair with the sun streaming in the window, reading the paper, listening to some beautiful music, drinking coffee & chewing on a pain au chocolat, bliss. The design was quite wonderful, loved the mosaic wall, the jacuzzi & the quite beautiful gold ceiling, I want one!! For a romantic break this was perfect, will definitely stay here again, hopefully soon!

 Hi,

We are back in Los Angeles, and I wanted to thank you for your assistance and great restaurant advice.

It took a few moments once we got to the apartment for us to understand the space. It is, of course, tiny by American standards, even for us who live in a small house (just over 100 sq. meters.). Once got beyond that, we really started to appreciate the choices you made in putting the place together. The most surprising thing was that despite the bed's resemblance to a futon, it was remarkably comfortable. Between the bed and all the walking (and eating and drinking) we did, we had no problem sleeping.

Of course, the decoration did a lot to make the apartment seem like more than it might be. The bathroom was particularly fun, and the magic circle avec mirror-ball was magic.

I suppose that there are many great places in Paris, but we really enjoyed our little neighborhood. From the little market across the street that seemed to be open well past our (late) bedtime to the vegetable market just north of us that had the contents of an American supermarket stacked floor to ceiling on well organized shelves separated by the narrowest aisles imaginable. From the friendly folks in the boulangerie on the corner who greeted me as a regular after a few days to the incredible artisan patissiers down the street. I could probably write a volume about the Creamerie Rochechouart/Ferme Saint Hubert who were kind enough to vacuum pack our purchases so that we could smuggle them home. We enjoyed breakfast Parisian style at Le Turgot and late drinks at Sole Caffe.

A
Pétrelle, of course, is in a class of its own. Lunch at Corso (nee Da Claudio?) gave us a very nice break, Italian style, for bistrot fare. Our Sunday walk through the flea market -- amazingly, the same stuff that they sell at flea markets here, except for a very nice jewelry dealer -- brought us to Hotel Amour for a fun and tasty brunch.

We also went to A la Pomponette from your list, which was a lot of fun.

We had a big dinner at Guy Savoy's Chiberta, a nice one star with a fabulous tasting menu with wine pairings, and a big lunch at Le Grand Vefour which, thanks to our slow dining, allowed us to get a tour of their incredible subterranean kitchen (with recently installed induction cooktops).

Our Navigo cards and our proximity to the Anvers, Cadet (downhill) and the only slightly scary after dark Barbes-Rochechouart stations along with the Gard du Nord -- my conference was at Cité Universitaire on the RER B -- gave us StarTrek-like abilities to transport ourselves from place to place. After my conference ended, we moved above ground during the day and took busses, including the very convenient 85.

We went to the Louvre and the D'Orsay, and my wife humored me with a trip to the Musee Des Arts Et Metiers‴. We went to the Bibliothèque Nationale, only to discover that it was shut down for two weeks.

We visited several boutiques, including a very nice one called Anne Marinedown the street at 21. When we ran out of attractions on Rue de Rochechouart, Rue Des Martyrs was nearby.

This is typical of our Paris experiences: We had a really nice meal with friends at Comme A Savonnieres on Rue Guisarde in the 6em and wanted to take another friend there. When we arrived, they we closed so, dejected, we wandered into Brasserie Fernand down the street, where we had an even better meal in a place where the staff seemed to be having a great time teasing each other. They explained that they worked from 10 AM to 2 AM, so having a good time was a priority.

Through all these adventures, our base at 75 served us well and after a few days seemed very much like home.

Thanks you for sharing your great apartment with us,

Judy and Cary from Los Angeles

This is the first time that I rent an apartment in Paris after many visits. After staying at the Romantic Studio Loft, it will be very difficult to go back to staying in the small Paris hotel room again, especailly if you come with your family.

The Romantic Loft Studio has good space for my family with two teenage daughters and everything for your convenience - nice tv, stereo, kitchen and separate area for bathroom and toilet.

The place is quiet and within 5-10 minutes walk from metro, Montmarte and Gare du Nord. There are also nearby boulangerie, grocery and restaurants.

Dealing with Dirk and Ilse was straightforward and I am looking forward to staying at their place again on my next visit to Paris.

This apartment allowed us a lovely Paris experience. The location is excellent - short walk to Sacre Coer, Moulin Rouge and other attractions of Montmartre, and also very well connected by buses and metro to main Paris tourist attractions. Although we actually used taxis quite a lot because the distance to central Paris is very close, so the taxis fare was cheap, especially split between two coules. The Open Top Tourist Bus stops just outside Anvers metro station - less than 5min walk from the apartment.
The apartment itself is very clean, modern and although it is a studio it was perfect size for us - we were two couples and a small child. It is also excellent value for money. We weren't surprised by anything we found when we arrived as the property info we received from the owners was very accurate and comprehensive. The cleaning lady who shows you around the apartment and gives you the keys is very friendly and helpful, although doesn't speak any English so if you don't speak French or Spanish, make sure you get all the info you need off the owners before arrival. The kitchen is well equipped, apartment has plenty of natural light with large windows that face a private courtyard downstairs so the apartment is quiet/peaceful and very safe, with security entry. There are plenty of great cafes and restaurants close by to grab some breakfast, lunch or dinner if you prefer to stay close to home.
It was a pleasure dealing with the owners and I would definitely reccommend this apartment to friends.

We stayed at Feng-Shui twice in two years and we loved it! The first time I organized a surprise saturday night for my wife, leaving from Milan to spend the weekend in Florence, Italy (at least that's what she thought we were going to do). We jumped on the first flight to Paris instead and enjoyed a memorable, romantic evening all for ourselves. Feng-Shui was a real treat. I travel a lot for business and I am quite a demanding traveller, therefore I was looking for the best place to spend a unique, great night out and I definitely found it in Peter's apartment. Peter's also been tremendously kind and helpful, as he was very flexible towards our needs, thus convincing us to return to Paris a year after for a longer weekend, always at Feng- Shui. We definitely recommend Peter's charming apartments to anyone, as we also own two luxury houses in Sardinia (www.casateulada.com) and we are very much customer oriented and dedicated to a special service in a unique place for discriminating clientele as we are. Thank you Peter!

I once did a documentary on hotel doorman and stayed in five star hotels in ten cities around the world.
I didn't enjoy any of them as much as I did Peter's Feng Shui apartment.
The amazing innovative design was a delight. I kept discovering new features. It inspired me to go home and redesign my own place!
It was such a treat to make a real cappuccino every morning, watch the dvds on the best system known to man, soak in the jacuzzi then walk around naked while I chose my clothes for the day since nobody could see into the apt because it's totally private.
It looks onto a courtyard of trees, from which you can hear birds in the morning - no traffic sounds whatsoever.
What a fantastic little hideaway.
Thanks!
Barbara

Great Use of space Peter!!! What a nice cozy place for a wet and cold trip to Paris in March!!! The tub was a nice secluded spot with plenty of hot water and the art work was especially eyecatching and soothing...after the Metro trips!!
The chill/lounge CDs were especially nice!!
Thanks much for your promptness with everything from e-mail, details of the area, and the refund of our security deposit, very much appreciated Peter!!

Also the design maked us very comfortable. After two days we felt like reborn. This short stay in Paris was great for us. The appartment is so close with everything that we could walk to every place we wanted to see... it was perfect...

Peter, thank you.

 Peter,
We want to give you some positive feedback from our 2 week stay in your apartment November 26 - December 8, 2007. We were extremely comfortable there for our first visit to Paris. It quickly became our home away from home. The bed was comfortable (VERY important to us), the kitchen well appointed and the multiple-head shower was great. It was useful for us to have wireless internet also. The location is great - -metro accessible, grocery store close and several wonderful restaurants in the area. We would highly recommend the apartment to your future guests.

Thanks again and we hope to visit Paris more often,

Christine and Jack

Sleek, sophisticated, sparkling but functional as a 'home' base to tour Paris and surrounding area, this feng shui studio is the best value around!
Imaginative details keep your eye roaming over every nook and cranny, serving up little surprises (I can't tell you! or you wouldn't be surprised!) when you've had enough sightseeing and crash at 'home'. After a soak in a massive jacuzzi, relax in the slouch leather bean chair and munch on a fresh baguette purchased at the corner, with a great bottle of wine, watching one of the many eclectic flicks Peter has for his guests. Our friends (who stay in hotels) NEVER see Paris this way, and now...we're spoiled!

We enjoyed our stay in the Feng-Shui loft. It is so well laid out and packed with whatever we could need in such a small space. The area is fun- so many shops and eateries right outside. We loved the area. Thanks to Peter for his helpfulness.

We have stayed in self-catering studios/apartments all over Europe and this has been by far the best to date. There is an excellent music, dvd and book collection to help you settle in. All equipment is spotless and in excelent working order and the Armani bed and ball chair are so comfortable. It has everything you could possibly need and it is so cleverily designed. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for something a little special in Paris.

Ideal location; quiet, private and secure. Suggested restaurants from Peter were excellent particularly in the neighborhood. Look forward to a return. JWW

Great apartment, very modern and everything made very easy for us with the booking. Very conveniently located and renovated. Only criticism would be that it's two single bed units joined up with bed linen into double bed, but fine if you expect it. Owner was always prompt with responses and very friendly & helpful with booking. Deposit returned very promptly. Would recommend it and would stay there again. Many thanks for the hospitality!

I just wanted to say thank you, my first trip in Paris was amazing and i plan to make several more. The apartment is gorgeous and had everything we needed to make our stay a pleasure. The bathtub is ideal to chill out in after taking in all the sights and the flat istelf is great value for money with a Plasma TV and Kingsize bed included. I will definitely be rebooking on my next trip, which hopefully shouldnt be too long away. Thanks Again

After learning so much about Peter and Rita?s Montmarte studio: the Luxury, we arrived with lots of curiosity and excitement to be part of the ?fame? for a few days. The studio lived up to it to the last word. We found it highly functional, artful, unusual, interesting, peaceful, elegant, incredible, stimulating and challenging, and all in one. You really don?t need to leave it; you?ll get the whole Paris there through videos, books, maps, the finest coffee along with the super comfortable bed, the soothing bath, the well equipped kitchen. The quality of the studio combined with Peter?s extremely kind, patient, understanding, helpful and informative communication during the entire process made our visit very enjoyable. We will definitely return.
